Sectors of Focus

Five industries driving regional transformation.

Our sector focus reflects where Central Asia’s demand is strongest and where Chinese manufacturing is most competitive. We are selective: depth over breadth.

01 · Construction Materials & Equipment

Serving a $1 billion infrastructure pipeline.

Uzbekistan's construction sector is growing 5.6% annually through 2029, with 81 large-scale projects and more than 8,000 medium and small projects in the 2025 pipeline alone. The region needs energy-efficient building materials, modular construction systems, HVAC equipment, and commercial lighting — at scale, at speed, and with certifications that match local standards.

Majida helps Chinese manufacturers navigate GOST UZ certification, match their product specifications to regional building codes, and reach both government and private-sector buyers through established channels.

02 · Renewable Energy

Aligned with a national renewable mandate.

Uzbekistan has set a target of 25% renewable capacity by 2026 and 17 GW by 2030, backed by €9.46 billion in new clean energy projects launched in December 2025. The opportunity extends across solar panels, energy storage systems, solar water heating, inverters, and smart grid equipment.

Majida brings Chinese renewable technology into a market where tax holidays and simplified customs procedures actively reward foreign participation.

03 · Smart Home & Appliances

A consumer market modernizing at speed.

Uzbekistan's smart home market is projected at nearly $80 million in 2025, with e-commerce growing 41% to 47% annually and 76% smartphone penetration driving adoption across a young, connected population. The same patterns hold across Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Georgia.

We work with Chinese manufacturers of smart home devices, IoT-enabled appliances, and connected kitchen equipment to build brand presence in markets where no category leader yet exists.

04 · Electric Mobility

Central Asia's fastest EV adopter.

In 2024, imports of electric and hybrid vehicles in Uzbekistan exceeded gasoline vehicles for the first time. Eighty-five percent of EVs sold are Chinese brands. The government has committed to 2,500 charging stations by the end of 2025, eliminated excise duties on EVs, and been recognized by the IEA as Central Asia’s leading adopter.

Majida partners with Chinese EV, e-scooter, battery, and charging infrastructure manufacturers entering a market that is already theirs to lose.

05 · Industrial Equipment

Modernizing production, across sectors.

Uzbekistan is the world's fifth-largest cotton producer and now processes 100% of its raw cotton into yarn domestically. Its government has established a $50 million Export Support Fund and granted customs exemptions on imported textile equipment. Beyond textiles, demand is strong across packaging machinery, food processing equipment, and industrial automation.

We help Chinese equipment manufacturers reach industrial buyers who are modernizing quickly and who reward suppliers that show up, install well, and stand behind their equipment.
